According to experts, due to "seasonal stress", our sex lives suffer the most in January, and it's also the month in which couples tend to break up the most.
All the more reason to include sex in your resolution list.
In summary of what I read , we should concentrate on the general mood, or the "before-play".
Simply put, give affectionate touches and be nice to each other, every day.
Make it your resolution to hug and kiss every day.
The "before-play" mood can lead to better sex.
Hard to be ticked off at your spouse, and have good sex an hour later. Or at least that's the way we women are.
For us chicks who are getting older, we really need to touch more.
When you stop connecting physically, your skin loses its sensitivity to touch.
We need to rub, massage, and caress ... and we need to be rubbed, massaged and caressed.
I finally bought it.
Remember I blogged about it before... the haddock in this pie comes from our very own "Inshore Fisheries".
It took an hour to cook at 400. Then I lowered the temp to 350 for another 20... and let it sit for 10 minutes after I removed it from the oven.
Son #1 and I had it. Pros: The flavour was good. It has shrimp, haddock, salmon. Potatoes on the top.
The listed ingredients are all " normal ingredients ".
One quarter of the pie is only 220 calories. We ate 3/4 between the 2 of us. The pie wasn't that thick.
It was nice and creamy, yet easy to serve and I liked the potatoes on the top.
Cost was $9.99, not 15 as previously posted ( they have a deal on at Sobeys this week... but 2, get 30 airmiles) Cons: I found the pieces of fish cut too small for my liking.
There is a little smoke flavour from the salmon that I could have done without, even though I really like salmon and smoked salmon.
Son # 1 said I could have sprinkled cheddar cheese on the top.
Would I buy it again?
Well I have another in the freezer since I bought two.
It's okay to have when you are stuck for a meal idea, or want to pop something in the oven.
Even better..... I have a fish pie recipe that I make, and rather than buy this, I could add salmon and shrimp to mine, and be just as satisfied.
"Auld Lang Syne" is a Scots poem written by Robert Burns in 1788 and set to the tune of a traditional folk song . It is well known in many countries, especially in the English-speaking world, its traditional use being to celebrate the start of the New Year at the stroke of midnight. By extension, it is also sung at funerals, graduations and as a farewell or ending to other occasions. The international Boy Scout youth movement, in many countries, uses it as a close to jamborees and other functions.

Thinned icing (Confectioner’s sugar and add a little milk slowly until glue-like consistency. May add food coloring one drop at a time)
Cream sugar, butter, shortening and extract thoroughly.
Combine flour and salt. Add to creamed ingredients. Shape dough into 1" balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 400° for 8-10 mins. Cool completely on racks.
Dip tops of cookies into icing and then into flaked coconut.
As you can see I didn't go with the coconut, but I do imagine it would be beautiful. I made icing, tinted with sky blue to look icy, and dipped it in decorative sugar.
As for the taste, they are yummy indeed.
A nice thick bite of tender shortbread.
Thank you Yvette for sharing the recipe, and the Christmas tradition in your home.
The Lodge will be open today for gas, food and hospitality. They report that traffic is starting to pick up and today should be a big day on the trails.
Noticeable traffic above the lodge and the reports from sledders are very favourable as all trails have seen a groomer, but with such an early start, they stress caution.

An elderly man in Oklahoma calls his son in New York and says, "I hate to ruin your day son, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are getting a divorce; 45 years of marriage... and that much misery is enough!" "Dad, what are you talking about?" the son yells. "We can't stand the sight of each other any longer," the old dad explained. "We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Hong Kong and tell her!". Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. "Like heck they're getting divorced," she shouts, "I'll take care of this." She calls her elderly father immediately, and screams at him, "You are not getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don't do a thing, you hear me?" she yelled as she hung up the phone. The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. "Okay", he says, "it's all set. They're both coming for Christmas and paying their own air-fare."
