Looking for a homemade lubricant, or one you may have on hand ? Some claim Olive Oil works. Other say organic coconut oil is the way, and the best. I also read that eggwhites can be used .... no thanks. There is also aloe vera gel, vitamin E oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, and almond oil. Be careful not to stain your sheets, I would say. Oils are bad with latex condoms, and should not be used. Mustard is a safe oil-less alternative I read. ( the egg whites now sound pretty good.) I also found a recipe for a home made lubricant. 2 cups water, bring to a boil Add 2 and a half tablespoons of flax seeds, and simmer. Simmer until the water is reduced by half. It'll take 20 minutes. Strain it immediately and let it cool. Keep it in the fridge. The kids will ask what it is ... hehe. It's water based, so it's safe with condoms and cleans up easy.
What direction should the blades be spinning in the summer? In the winter ?
In the summer : counterclockwise. To push the air down into the room
In the winter : clockwise .... slowly clockwise to suck up the air and circulate it.
This is #16 on the list of 50 Things to do in The Argyle Region.
So I headed out on my bicycle to the very old cemetery across from the Acadian Village in West Pubnico.
What did I find there? Seems the largest tombstones belonged to people in their 20's. I wondered what they died of ? I wondered where they lived. They, like I, must have marveled at the beautiful harbor, just I did on this calm sunny day. It was beautiful in there. They certainly are resting in peace.
No real "odd names" but I did find the surname "Garland". Mr John Garland died in his twenties, and his wife, buried alongside, died in her 60's. You can click on the pictures for a larger view. And if you choose to search the cemetery from your laptop... you easily can see all tombstones in the cemetery of St Peters Church in Middle West Pubnico right here. They are sorted alphabetically. And the East Pubnico cemetery link is here.
