Growing Tourism Through Our Dark Skies

Acadian Skies and Mi’kmaq Lands is the first Starlight Tourist Destination in North America, as designated by the UNESCO-backed Starlight Foundation. This designation sets the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores region apart as a world-class location to view the starry-night skies.

The designation has the potential to help grow tourism and attract more first time visitors from outside of Nova Scotia. But for this to happen, we need more world-class tourism products and experiences that turn the designation into something visitors can actually see and do. Join us for a Tourism Nova Scotia workshop that will outline what associations and private businesses should do to take advantage of this bright opportunity. Learn how to create a tourism experience and discover what today’s visitor is looking for when planning their vacation.

It will be held in Tusket on Oct 8th, place yet to be determined.

Time 10am to 4pm.

Cost: free
